PINK! Seems to have (a) unique vision. In a world currently subject to a whole host of existential crises and in which our global society is hurrying towards even bigger threats, you would think youngsters would stand together and agree on the need for resistance and political revolution.
We’re pretty confident that the reason this isn’t happening, is not a difference in ideology: when somebody’s views lead to the conclusion that the Earth’s survival is not worth fighting for, it should be glaringly obvious that there is something wrong with their philosophy.
The answer to the question ‘So what’s stopping the necessary uprising?’ is twofold:
- Firstly, people feel powerless. That’s why it’s so important that everybody who has the will to fight for a better future, based on unconditional empathy, gathers at PINK!. That way we’ll know the true size of our movement, and our impact will be all the greater.
- Secondly, there are a lot of people who don’t know, or struggle to comprehend, how big of an impact the consequences of our collective malpractice are having. During their childhood, people learn to expect a correction whenever they do wrong. At first by peers, or else by the authorities. That means that the lack of correction now makes it hard to believe we really are making mistakes as devastatingly large as the statistics are telling us.
PINK! has set up several bodies to tackle this second problem, not only by focusing on adolescents – who our educational initiatives are intended for – but for anyone interested in the future of our world.
